PALESTINE — Lynda M. Wilson, age 78, of Palestine, died on June 22, 2020, in the comfort of her home.
She was born Oct. 20, 1941, in Lower Sand Ridge, the daughter of Porter Collins & Mary (Bennett) Collins, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Mark Wilson on Dec. 31, 1984, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2016.
Lynda was also preceded in death by: five sisters; and by her sons, Donnie Myers (in infancy), Steve Miller and David Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Les Hightshoe, Hutsonville; sister, Susie Franklin; brothers, Donald Collins and Ed Collins; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 at the Palestine Cemetery, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. During the graveside, there will be an opportunity for family and friends to share thoughts and memories of Lynda. For the protection of all involved, it is requested that attendees wear face coverings and observe social distancing practices. In the case of incliment weather, it is also recommended that attendees bring an umbrella, as there will be no tent.
