IHSA, IESA meet with state officials; no changes imminent

Although nothing much came of it, representatives of the Illinois High School Association and Illinois Elementary School Association met with state officials to open dialogue regarding the possibility of resuming sports and other activities at the high school and junior high school levels.

IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson, members of the IHSA staff and IESA staff members met virtually with Illinois Department of Public Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Deputy Governor Jesse Ruiz and IDPH Chief of Staff Justin DeWitt on the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 6.
