Lawrenceville Free Methodist

A Compline Prayer will be available on Facebook at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21.

Morning worship will be on Facebook Live at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 24. The Sunday evening prayer meeting will be held on Zoom at 5 p.m.

Morning prayer from the daily office begins at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26.

Morning prayer will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at 9:30 a.m. on Zoom. The Wednesday night update and devotional is on Facebook Live at 6:30 p.m.

New Hope Christian

Weekly service will be held online on Sunday, May 24 at 10 a.m. on the website at www.newhopegps.org. The jr./sr. high youth will meet at 6 p.m. on Sunday at www.newhopegps.org/youth-sunday-nights.

Every Tuesday and Friday the food pantry will be open from 9-11 a.m.

Sunday, May 31, the church will recognize all NHCC graduates during its live stream. If you have an eighth grade, high school or college graduate call the church office to submit their name or visit the website at www.newhopegps.org/graduates before Thursday, May 28.

Vacation Bible School will be held from July 12-17 for pre-k through sixth grade students. Volunteers can start signing up at www.newhopegps.org/vbsvol. VBS pre-registration for students will begin soon.

First Presbyterian

There will be no services on Sunday, May 24. The office will be closed on Monday, May 25 for the Memorial Day holiday. The office will be open the rest of the week.

If you would like to request a bulletin or a ride when services resume, call the church office at 943-3638.

Bridgeport First UMC

The church council met recently to discuss plans for re-opening the church. Details of the meeting will be posted on the church’s Facebook page.

Pastor Deetta Gaither reminds the congregation that tithes and offerings can be mailed to 435 N. Main in Brideport.

Individuals that have spiritual needs requiring pastoral care are encouraged to call the church office at 945-4421 and leave a message or call Pastor Gaither at 812-830-8875.

First Christian - Bridgeport

The leadership meeting will be held on Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m.

The weekly Bible reading is from Job 11 - Job 28. The title for the Sunday, May 24 message is, “God is Faithful” and is based on Hebrews 10:23. The Call to Worship will be given by Jerry Loudermilk. Communion and offering meditations will be presented by Jim Moye. The worship service begins at 9 a.m. and is broadcast live on WAKO 910 AM and 99.3 FM.

There is no Sunday evening or Wednesday afternoon Bible study until further notice.

The James 1:27 Ministry is planning to deliver carry-out meals to the United Methodist Village sometime in June. Meals will be delivered at the door of the residents who want them so a gathering can be avoided. Details are still being worked out for the event.

The Ivan Parker concert to benefit Helping His Hands will be held at the Red Skelton Center in Vincennes on Sunday, June 14 at 4 p.m. (EST).

St. Francisville Free Methodist

Online services will be held with Rev. Jeff Marble. The sermon is entitled, “These Are My Words” and the scripture is from Luke 24:44-49.

Central Christian

As the shelter-in-place order is still required in Illinois, all worship services are available online on the Facebook page or on the website at www.centralchristianchurchlc.com. Carson Root will give the morning message at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 24.

All activities onsite are cancelled at this time.
