Lawrenceville Free Methodist

The Thursday night compline prayer will be available on Facebook at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.

Morning worship will be on Facebook Live at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 17. The Sunday evening prayer meeting will be on Zoom at 5 p.m.

A morning prayer from the Daily Office will begin at approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19.

The morning prayer meeting will be on Zoom at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20. The Wednesday night update and devotional will be on Facebook Live at 6:30 p.m.

First Presbyterian

There will be no services at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, May 17.

The office is continuing to be open from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. Bulletins and rides can be requested by calling the church office at 943-3638.

Bridgeport First UMC

On Saturday, May 16 at 2 p.m., a story time for the children will be presented live on Facebook.

Online services will continue on Sunday, May 17 with a live broadcast on the church’s Facebook page at 9:30 a.m. The sermon for the week will be taken from I Peter 3:13-22. Pastor Deeta Gaither will lead the congregation in their home setting of Holy Communion. Families are reminded to have the elements for this service available. Those graduating will be honored.

The church newsletter, “The Banner,” will be sent as a mid-week email.

First Christian - Bridgeport

The weekly Bible reading is Esther 3 - Job 10.

The message for Sunday, May 17 is entitled “The Cry for a Reason for Suffering” and is based on Habakkuk 1:2-4. The Call to Worship will be given by Jim Meyer. The communion and offering meditations will be presented by Jerry Loudermilk.

There is no Sunday evening service or Wednesday afternoon Bible study until further notice.

The Leadership Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 21 at 6 p.m.

First Christian (Disciples of Christ)

Rev. Jeff Shick will deliver the sermon entitled, “The Lifeboat Game” based upon the scripture from I Peter 3:13-22. The abbreviated sermon can be found on the website at https://sites.google.com/viwe/lvfcc/home or on the church’s Facebook page.

New Hope Christian

The morning service will livestream at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 17 on the website at www.newhopegps.org.

The jr./sr. high youth will meet at www.newhopegps.org/youth-sunday-nights at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.

Every Tuesday and Friday, the food pantry remains open from 9-11 a.m.

On Sunday, May 31, all graduates will be recognized during the live stream. To submit an eighth grade, high school or college graduate call the church office or submit names on the website at www.newhopegps.org/graduates. All submissions should be received by Thursday, May 28.

Vacation Bible School for pre-k through sixth grade students, is scheduled for July 12-17. Volunteers can start signing up now to help at www.newhopegps.org/vbsvol. VBS pre-registration for students will begin soon.

Central Christian

Morning worship will stream online at www.centralchristianlc.com on Sunday, May 17 at 10 a.m. Carson Root will give the message.

The American Red Cross is having a blood drive on Tuesday, May 19 from 2-6 p.m. in the activity center at Central located at 303 Buchanan Drive in Lawrenceville. The blood drive will observe all safety procedures with six foot distancing and face masks.

St. Francisville Free Methodist

Pastor Jeff Marble will hold online services at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 17. The message is from John 21:4-14.
