Lawrenceville Free Methodist

A Compline Prayer will be held on Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. on Facebook Live.

Sunday morning worship will stream on Facebook Live at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 3. The Sunday evening prayer meeting will be held on Zoom at 5 p.m.

A morning prayer service will be held on Tuesday, May 5 at 6 a.m. on Facebook Live.

A morning prayer meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m. on Zoom. The Wednesday update and devotional is at 6:30 p.m. on Facebook Live.

Offerings may be mailed in or given through the Paypal link on the church’s Facebook page at Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church of Illinois.

Central Christian

Every Sunday, Central has a morning worship service on its website at www.centralchristianlc.com and on its Facebook page. Carson Root gives the message at 10 a.m. each Sunday morning while the state is on the stay-at-home order.

At this time, the church does not have any activities at the church building.

Bridgeport First and Petrolia UMC

The stay-in-place mandate has opened the doors of the Bridgeport First United Methodist and Petrolia United Methodist churches to the Internet. With services being suspended, the congregations are now gathering for worship in their homes and listening to Pastor Deetta Gaither’s Sunday morning message on the Bridgeport First United Methodist Church’s Facebook page at 9:30 a.m.

Check the Facebook page for calendar updates, devotions and inspirational messages to encourage the reader. The new church newsletter, “The Banner” is available via email by messaging the Facebook page.

This month, the church will honor all graduates on the Facebook page so check often. Prayer requests can also be submitted via Facebook.

New Hope Christian

New Hope Christian Church invites the public to join them online for weekly services. The Sunday morning worship service will be streamed live on www.newhopegps.org on Sunday, May 3 at 10 a.m.

The jr./sr. high youth group will meet at 6 p.m. on Sunday at www.newhopegps.org/youth-sunday-nights.

Vacation Bible School for pre-k through sixth grade students will be held July 12-17. Volunteers can sign up to help now at www.newhopegps.org/vbsvol. VBS pre-registration for students will begin soon.

First Presbyterian

There will be no services at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, May 3. The office is continuing to be open from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.

When the church resumes services, the public can request a bulletin to follow along with the service on WAKO 910 AM and 99.3 FM by calling 943-3638.

First Christian - Bridgeport

Worship will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, and will be broadcast on WAKO 910 AM and 99.3 FM. Families are invited to gather communion supplies at home and participate in communion as part of the worship service.

The congregation will continue praying the prayer found in II Chronicles 7:14 each morning and/or night at 7:14.

The weekly Bible reading is from II Chronicles 21 - Ezra 7.

The mother/daughter event has been postponed.

St. Francisville Free Methodist

Online services will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 3. The sermon by Rev. Jeff Marble is entitled, “Minds Opened” and the scripture is from Luke 24:36-45.
