The Lawrence County Historical Society has many artifacts that document the history of our county. Each week the Daily Record will publish an "Artifact of the Week" from the historical society's museum, 619 State Street. This week's artifact is a postcard, showing a panoramic view of downtown Bridgeport from about 1912. It traveled through the U.S. Postal Service at the regular postcard rate of two cents. more
On Oct. 25, several area churches and pastors came together to hold a Solemn Assembly on the courthouse square in Lawrenceville. Despite the rain and cold weather, over 100 people came out to support the service which began with praise music and prayer. more
