Local nursing facility hit with $25,000 fine | SPRINGFIELD - A Lawrenceville nursing home has been fined $25,000 for infractions that occurred in 2017, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health. |  | Bridgeport council moves forward without quorum | BRIDGEPORT - The Bridgeport City Council met on Tuesday at Bridgeport City Hall in a meeting that was rescheduled from April 10 due to a lack of a quorum. Ironically, the council had the same number of members report on Tuesday as it did on April 10. The meeting continued under the advisement of city attorney Mike Neal who informed Mayor Michael Crask that he was able to cast the fourth vote needed to approve any business the city wishes to discuss.
