Western exits VU with four school records, set to join Nebraska in fall
VINCENNES, Ind. - When Jamesha Western graduated from Red Hill High School in 2016, the prospect of someday throwing for a Big Ten Conference team (or any other Division I university) was just that - a prospect. Since joining the women's track and field team at Vincennes Universty in the fall of 2016, Western's craft has taken off to the next level - a high enough level to command the attention of NCAA Division I scouts. After breaking VU's shot put record (50'0 1/2") at the 2017 Junior College Athletics Association Indoor National Championship in Pittsburg, Kansas, schools from all over the country inevitably came knocking.
