RHJH teams score sweep of rival Braves
BRIDGEPORT - Red Hill Junior High School's basketball teams scored a sweep of visiting rival Lawrenceville Tuesday evening.

The Salukis pulled away to win the eighth grade game, 33-26.

After both teams scored six points in the opening period, the game was tied at halftime, 13-13. The Salukis led 24-19 after three periods and held off the Braves (3-5).

Chase Holmes scored nine points to lead RHJH, while Corbin Shoulders was next with eight. Andy Wells and Jordan Stoltz chipped in with five points each, Landon Florkowski netted four and Josh Phelums chipped in with two.

Gavin Campbell paced PJHS with six points, while Devin Robinson and Austin Hardig both scored four. Dylan McGuire and Austin McCullough both added three points, while Jack Holden and Ryan Moore netted two points apiece and Bret Cox sank a foul toss.

Red Hill's seventh grade squad had little trouble in improving to 6-0 with a 44-19 win.

The Salukis led by scores of 22-3, 28-9 and 36-12 at the quarter stops.

Drew Moore led RHJH with nine points, while Cade Benson added eight. Landen Ray scored six points, Parker Havill five and Noah Daugherty and Blaine Hesler four apiece. Trevor Goff, Conner McKinney, Austin Price and Steven Adamson added two apiece to round out the Red Hill scoring.

Connor O'Dell led the Braves (0-6) with six points. R.J. Nelms added five and Bradley Reid four for Parkview, while Brandon Blackwell made a basket and Cole Sumner sank a free throw.

The Braves are scheduled to play Tuesday at Oblong, while Red Hill will host Marshall on Dec. 5.
