Olney shoots 166 to beat Indians, RHHS
OLNEY - Three Olney players shot 40 or better Monday, as the Tigers bettered both Lawrence County teams in a high school golf meet.

Olney finished with a 26-over-par score of 166 to beat Lawrenceville (171) and Red Hill (177).

Red Hill sophomore Zach Breault and Olney's Michael Devenicia both carded 3-over-par scores of 38 and tied for medalist honors.

LHS senior Hoa Bobe led his team with a 5-over-par 40. Jeffrey Baxter (42), Austin DeLoriea (43) and Jeffrey Metz (46) also scored for the Indians.

LHS did not use the 50 of Chase Shick or the 52 of Seth Hatfield.

"We took a step forward today," LHS coach Dave Berry said. "Hoa was solid. Jeff Baxter struggled early but battled and ended up with a 40."

Tanner Gray (44), Jacob Abel (47) and Morgan Tewell (48) completed the Red Hill scoring. The Salukis tossed out Jacob Tabler's 67.

Blake Berry (39), Dylan Taylor (40) and Luke Shaw (49) also scored for Olney. The Tigers did not use the scores of Tanner Hout (50) or Jack Kowa (55).

The Indians are scheduled to play against Oblong at Stoy today.

The Salukis are scheduled to play a week from today against Lawrenceville and Mount Carmel at Lawrence County Country Club.
