Area Red Cross volunteers head east
VINCENNES - Lawrence County native and Red Cross volunteer Susan Seitzinger headed east about a week ago to help those in southern New Jersey affected by superstorm Sandy.

Several other area volunteers are also taking Red Cross assignments.

Knox County natives, Anne and Jake Jacoby, have been assigned by the American Red Cross. The Jacoby's left Saturday for White Plains, New York. They are doing casework and providing financial assistance to families affected by the superstorm.

Knox County native Dennis Everett left late last week for White Plains, New York and Olney native Judy McKinney, a registered nurse, has gone to New Jersey.
