RH students identified in Robinson video-taping case
ROBINSON - Videos shot in a Robinson High School locker room show several students from RHS and Red Hill High School, authorities say.

The Robinson Police Department has received evidence back from state police in the case involving video-taping. Red Hill Unit 10 officials said the assistance of jersey numbers and still photos of faces taken from the tapes, several students from RHS and RHHS have been identified on the tapes.

Investigating officers reported there is no nudity on the recordings, which only those involved in the investigation have access to.

Robinson and Red Hill are in the process of notifying the parents of the affected students and Robinson police will follow up with brief interviews of the students.

An RHS custodian, Daniel H. Bonnell, 27, Robinson, faces a Class 4 felony charge of illegal videotaping in the case. He turned himself in at the Crawford County Sheriff's Department Oct. 12, the day after another school employee discovered a recording device n a custodians' closet. The employee reported the discovery to RHS principal Troy Hickey, who contacted Quick. They immediately called law enforcement.

Bonnell is free on bond and scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Crawford County Circuit Court at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Red Hill officials said police have advised the two school districts that they believe they are in possession of all video equipment and all recordings that were made.
