Special occasion sections are published monthly, providing you with a way to advertise your special occasion products and services.

You can advertise in cyberspace, too. We have banner and tile ads to give readers easy access to your business' Web site.

The advertising display deadline is 9 a.m. the day before the ad is published. Classified deadlines are: noon the day before for a line ad; legals are 11 a.m. the day before; and 9 a.m. the day before for display ads.

The Daily Record is published every day except Saturdays, Sundays and holiday by Lawrenceville Daily Record Inc., 1209 State St., Lawrenceville, Il 62439. The newspaper is delivered by carrier, mail and is available at more than a dozen outlets throughout Lawrence County.

Policies
Letters to the Editor:
Letters to the editor, especially on local subjects, are welcomed by the Daily Record and printed without charge as a public service to our readers.
Letters must, however, fall within Daily Record policy guidelines.
All letters to the editor must be signed. The author's name and town where he or she lives will be printed at the end of each letter. While the newpaper does not print the complete address or phone number, they are required and are used to verify authenticity.
Endorsements or condemnations of political candidates, cards of thanks, and attacks on individuals or private organizations will not be considered for this portion of the newspaper. Poetry will not be published as a letter to the editor. Letters deemed by the newspaper to be libelous or in poor taste will also be rejected. Authors should submit originials, not form letters. Authors are asked to limit themselves to one letter per topic. Only one letter per person, per subject, will be printed.

Church Page:
News to be used on Friday's church page is published free of charge and may include sermon titles and information about special events or topics, but should not include regular service information. Service dates, times and church locations appear on the adjoining church directory page.
Deadline for church page items is 10 a.m., Thursday, prior to the Friday publication.

Calendar of Events:
The Daily Record's Calendar of Events is run daily to promote activities of Lawrence County non-profit organziations only. Calendar items are free of charge and may be submitted via mail, fax, e-mail or in person. Items for the Calendar of Events will appear as often as time and space permits.

Lawrence County Life:
We want news of your upcoming social events, such as engagements, anniversaries and club meetings. Notices of upcoming activities, such as an engagment or wedding, should be submitted to the Daily Record two weeks before they must run in the paper. Wedding stories and photos should be delivered to the Daily Record within six weeks of the ceremony. Wedding and engagement photos may be picked up after they appear in the newspaper. Photos will be mailed back to the owners if they are accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
