BRIDGEPORT — Ameren Illinois is modernizing the energy grid to enhance service reliability for customers in Bridgeport and Sumner. In January, Ameren Illinois contractors began replacing more than 130 poles and power lines along a 4.5-mile off-road stretch adjacent to the CSX railroad right-of-way.
